THE AMEN CIRCLE (LOCAL TELEVISION BROADCAST)

THE AMEN CIRCLE - a Christian drama television series seen on the Austin community cable station. The Amen Circle is a fictionalized account of the challenges and triumphs facing the residents of an urban area with more than a few churches. Each church is geographically located within the radius of Piedmont Park, a historical African American landmark. This is why the area is referred to as The Amen Circle. Though they are different denominations, sizes and cultures each church finds itself serving the Lord in the midst of life’s challenges. With that much Jesus in the area there shouldn’t be any problems but as you’ll see real life happens to Christians too! Witness the effect of real life on the Circle residents as we see how their decisions, whether in or out of the will of God, impact their lives and the lives of those around them. Look for our return this fall with all new episodes for your enjoyment!

BELIEVE BEYOND BOUNDARIES (SUMMER CREATIVE ARTS CAMP)

Our summer camp is scheduled to begin mid-July. This exciting and innovative camp combines creative writing with acting and improvisation, theater and television production workshops including technical requirements like lighting techniques and sound. Attendees will learn basic playwrighting skills, how to develop their initial concept into a production, transitioning a stage play to film or television, including hands on learning in producing their project at the Talent Showcase or producing their project at Public Access Community Television (PACT). Students will tour a professional theater to see the behind the scenes workings of a production and learn about local theater opportunities as well as university and college programs.

AFRICAN AMERICAN (CREATIVE CHRISTIAN ARTS FESTIVAL)
