Claudette is preoccupied with maintaining her social and economic status at the expense of her husband and children.   Brother Marvin disguises his pain and resentment with reckless rendezvous with any and every young woman who crosses his path. Recovering addict Natalie can’t forgive herself as she attempts to prove herself over and over again to friends and family.
